Beach Clean-Up Mentone

Today some of the Wild Melbourne team got together with some members of our broader community to clean up Mentone and surrounding beaches.

In all we collected approximately 17 kg's worth of plastic, foam, and glass from our beautiful and important local beaches.

This was our second clean-up event and the first where we invited members of the public to come along, lend a hand, and meet the team. So far we've removed nearly 30 kg's of mostly plastic and foam from the beaches around our bay, and we will continue to do so, targeting more remote beaches where council attention is diminished.

A big thanks to all who helped out on the day!

Beach Clean-Up - Bayside

On Saturday 30th of November a portion of the Wild Melbourne crew headed to the Bayside area for our first ever beach clean up.

More than 12 kg's worth of rubbish (mostly foam, tin, and plastic pieces that weigh next to nothing) was removed from some of Melbourne's most popular sea-side locations.

From Brighton to Ricketts Point our team did a fantastic job and had a great time in the process.

More Beach Clean-Ups to come in the near future with 88 kg's left before we reach our goal.

Great going team!
