Ever since childhood, the natural environment has captivated Stephen and been a major source of enjoyment where he spent his younger years collecting creepy crawlies and exploring rock pools in search of crabs and anemones.
Following his main passion, Stephen studied a Bachelor and Master of Science at the University of Melbourne. His Masters involved investigating the impacts that dredging and climate change might have on the important seagrass habitats that exist in Port Phillip Bay.
Since then Stephen developed a keen interest in climate science and science communication, which lead to him hosting a weekly radio show on the latest scientific news and research.
Currently, Stephen is studying a Diploma in Conservation Land Management in the hope to further contribute his knowledge and skills to the local community.
