In this module, students will learn about the complex relationships between pollinators, plants and predators. They will start by learning about the basic requirements that plants need to successfully grow and reproduce. Students will then play a game (a cross between a relay race and tiggy) which investigates the relationship between these groups of organisms where the participants act as either a plant, pollinator or predator. Following the game, students will then be taken on a short walk in search of the real-life plants and pollinators used in the game. These will show participants the ecology of plant pollination and food webs as well as making them more aware and informed about the beauties of their immediate natural surroundings.

The Power Pollinators module is applicable to a wide range of curriculum aspects from Grade 3 up to Year 10. View the chart here to see where it can fit into your upcoming school topics.
